Chester's middle name is provided by his signature on his marriage license application²⁰⁷² to Virginia Brown. Appearing to be in conflict, the birth certificate for Chester "Conant" Mixer, born same date as on the marriage license application, and same parents, indicates a different middle name. However, the 1930 census⁵³⁴¹ has "Chester W Jr." Several other records list this child as "Chester W Mixer."
