Married2072 1884 Apr 92072 at St Joseph Co., IN2072. Sabra O Eberhart and George F Cooke were married by C E Bacon, pastor of the M E Church. Their marriage license was dated Mar 24, 1884.

George's surname is listed herein as Cooke, as most later records lists his surname, as well as those for his wife and children, as such, rather than Cook, as do earlier records.

In 1900, George Cook, born Nov 1863 in Vermont, resided3181 in Penn Twp, IN, with wife Sabra, and sons Jay W and Gordon Cook. George listed his parents as born in "Un." and England. He was a traveling salesman.

From that information, it is assumed from Vermont vital records2070, he was the George F Cook, born Nov 3, 1863, Readsboro, Vermont, to (mother) L M Cook, b England, and (father) T W Cook, b "Stamford." In 1870, George appears5399 in the household of Turner W and Louisa M Cook in Dover, Michigan. In 1910, George F Cooke is listed755 as a shoe salesman. In 1920, George was756 a commercial traveler of wholesale rubber.

Some time between 1920 and 1930, Sabra and George were divorced, as Sabra Cooke is listed759 in 1930 as divorced.

In 1937, Mrs Roxy R Eberhart, died5315 at the home of her daughter, Mrs Sabra Cooke.

In 1910, Jay resided755 with his parents and brother Gordon. He was shoe salesman. Other records, including his obituary5401 indicate he went by the name Wilbur Jay Cooke.

On Jun 16, 1911, a prenuptial celebration (Minneapolis Star Tribune, Sun, 18 Jun 1911, newspapers.com) was held for Miss Priscilla Maude Woodside, and her fiance, Mr Wilbur Jay Cooke, whose marriage was to be held June 29.

He died5401 in 1936, leaving a widow, a daughter Marilyn, his brother, Gordon G Cooke, and "the parents." He had been a resident of Minneapolis for 35 years, and had been a manager for a furnace company.
