Fred and Aimee were married809 by C H Chapin, clergyman of Rockland. The intention was filed June 7, 1904. Their marriage record809 lists their parents' names, including their mothers' maiden names.

Fred married first, Amy French who died in 1909. Fred is listed as widowed in the 1910 census when he was living with daughter Katherine in the household of G K Stratton and Katherine Stratton, Aimee's mother, who had remarried. Fred married second, Grace Emery, whom he left as a widow. Fred's full name is listed on his WWI draft reg card. This card, 1918, lists his occupation as Veazie Hardware Co., nearest relative - Grace E Veazie, wife. In 1920 and 1930, he is listed as a retail hardware merchant and Rockland city directory entries list Veazie Hardward Company, 441 Main in Rockland. In 1920, he, Grace and Katherine are listed in his father's household.

In 1938, the Rockland Directory lists "Main St Hardware Co.," successors to Veazie Hardware Co., 441 Main St. Later that address became the Rockland Cafe.

In 1900, Aimee, Aimee's mother Kittie (Burpee) French and Aimee's brother Karl were living with Aimee's maternal grandfather Samuel Burpee, widower, in Rockland. Kittie is listed as a widow.

In 1910, Katherine lived with her father in the household of G K Stratton and Katherine Stratton, her maternal grandmother. In 1920 and 1930, she was living with her father and step-mother. In the 1935 Rockland directory, Katherine is listed res. 12 Shaw Ave., teacher McLain School. In 1938 and 1939, Katherine is the secretary to the mayor, her distant cousin Edward R Veazie. In 1940, following her father's death, she lived with her step-mother. In that census, Katherine is listed as secretary in a municipal office. Many articles in Portland newspapers recount her extensive activities with various organizations, primarily the Order of The Eastern Star, in which she held office several times. Newspaper articles also indicate that Katherine and her step-mother Grace Veazie traveled together on vacation several times. Katherine A Veazie is mentioned in the obituary2502 of her step-mother Grace (Emery) Veazie as a surviving daughter.
