Marriage license issued Sept. 15, 1847, Rockport, ME. The marriage license record lists Sewall as "Lowell W." The marriage record lists Sewall as "Samuel W." Both records list the bride as Mary E. Thorndike. Hillman⁸⁰⁰ has the place of marriage as Camden, referencing "Camden VR, Marriages, 1808-1891," p 64, by Watts & Maresh. Camden may well be the place of marriage as it is not unusual for marriages to be recorded in the town records of either spouse.

Watson's birth record has his name "Isrel W." Watson Veazie worked variously as a laborer and sailor, but is listed most frequently as a ship's carpenter. Eaton calls him "Capt." and mariner. In 1877, he was a joiner¹⁷³⁵ and resided at 45 Camden, Rockland, ME. In 1892, he resided⁴³²⁶ at 162 North Maine, Rockland, ME.

Mary's maiden name is listed in daughter Sarah's marriage record (to George Perrin). Her middle name is given in her birth index¹⁷¹¹ entry. In the 1900 census, Mary is listed as born Sep 1827, and the mother of 1, 1 living.
