Peter J Bennett died5855 Mar 13, 1945. He was survived by a son William of Mosherville; a daughter, Mrs Rudolph Dahlstrom of Elmira; a sister, Mrs Vance West of Elmira; stepdaughters, Mrs Harry Hockings and Mrs Mae Widtman, both of New York City.

Her first marriage to Ellsworth Walling is assumed as follows: in 1910, Florence H Walling, age 12, "grand daughter," appears{super 1132} in the household of Edward and Sarah J McGowan, Mary McGowan's parents; Florence Walling, born Apr 1897, appears219 in 1900, in the household of Elsworth and (wife) Mary E Walling. Ellsworth's wife was born Apr 1867. Ellsworth Walling died5848 Jan 13, 1902. From that information, and the appearance of Elizabeth M Walling in the 1905 and 1910 censuses without a spouse evident, it is assumed Ellsworth Walling was Mary's first husband.
