Married⁵⁴⁸⁶ 1897 Jan 20⁵⁴⁸⁶ at Addison, NY⁵⁴⁸⁶. Hattie B Wortman and Edward W Wright were married⁵⁴⁸⁶ Jan 20, 1897, Addison, New York. In the 1900 census⁴⁵⁹, Edward and Hattie are listed as married 3 years.

Edward W Wright⁶⁰⁴⁴, a native of Lindley (NY), spent 8 years in Saskathewan, Canada, where he operated a farm store and grain elevator. Prior to his death, he had been a resident of Hammondsport for 33 years. He was a successful farmer and vineyardist, and was a member of the Hammondsport Methodist Church.

Following the death of his first wife Hattie, he married⁵⁴⁸⁶ second, 25 Nov, 1947, Urbana, New York, Lydia Welty. Other information indicates Lydia's maiden name was Leavenworth.

Mentioned in his obituary⁶⁰⁴⁴ was his wife, Mrs Lydia Welty Wright; two daughters, Mrs Ethel Kellogg and Mrs Beatrice Enscoe, both of Bath; two sons, Elmer E Wright of Bath, and Clarence I Wright of Hammondsport; step-children Lawrence Welty of Calif., Henry Welty of Presho, Mrs Ruby Everson of Ulster, Pa., Mrs Ruth Moore of Presho, and Mrs Iva Cummings of Bath; also mentioned was that he was survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Daughter Hattie is mentioned⁵⁵⁴⁰ in the 1895 obituary of her mother, Mary E (McGowan, aka Wortman) Thompson.
