Married⁵⁴⁴³ 1879 Jul 14⁵⁴⁴³ at Islesboro, ME⁵⁴⁴³. "Sardell" Veazie of Islesboro, and "Mr N P Norton" of Westfield, Mass., were married⁵⁴⁴³ in Islesboro, Jul 14, 1879 "by me N. A. Avery Clergy." The marriage was also recorded⁴⁰⁰⁹ in Westfield, MA, which has "A A Avery" as the clergyman.

William's birthplace is listed in the marriage record for William P Norton to Sardell Veazie. In the marriage record⁴⁰⁰⁹ for his marriage to Sardelle Veazie, his birthplace is listed as Greenville, SC. His parents are listed therein as W P & L H Norton. His middle name is listed²⁵⁰⁸ in the birth certificate index²⁵⁰⁸ for son Albert. That birth index entry lists William's birthplace as Madison, Georgia; his age at that time was 24. Census records indicate his parents were both born in Vermont. In 1910, William's sister, Georgia Martin, born Georgia, age 57 and widowed, resided with William and Della. Given that information, one finds in the 1870 census for Medfield, MA, Lizzie H Norton, age 37 and a widow, born Vermont, with children Georgia, Alice and Willie. In that record, Willie is age 14, born in Georgia.

In 1930, Della Norton is listed⁴⁹³¹ as a widow. William's death is assumed from that record.

The birth certificate index²⁵⁰⁸ for son Albert lists Sardelle's birthplace ("Islesburo," Maine). In 1930, "Della" Norton, "mother-in-law" and a widow, resided⁴⁹³¹ in the household of Charles E Clark (daughter Anne's husband,) and her daughter Anne.

Albert's deathdate is assumed from the 1900 census³²⁶² in which Della Norton is listed as the mother of 3, 2 living. Albert's siblings Ernest and Annie are listed in that record.
