Frances Rieman is elsewhere identified as Frances Potts, indicating that her mother, Maude (Gorman) Potts, had remarried following the death of Angus Potts.
In the 1910 census357 for Brooklyn, New York, Maud Potts appears as the wife of Angus Potts. Residing in the household were George G and Ella C Gorman, listed as father-in-law and mother-in-law respectively.
In 1930, Maud Hull, "mother in law," resided in the household of John and Frances Rieman, and their daughter "Joan." Also residing in the household were Fred and David Potts, brothers-in-law; Muriel Buss, "sister in law," and Otto Buss, "brother in law." That information corroborates the assumption that Maud Gorman Potts married --- Hull, following the death of Angus Potts; Frances Potts married John Rieman; and Frances' sister Maud (listed in 1930 as "Muriel") married Otto Buss.
