In 1930, William Kriner, "step-son," age 11, resided5694 in the household of Charles and Mabel Crain, in Elmira Heights, NY. Charles Crain was apparently his mother's husband. Also residing with them was Dorthy(sic) Kriner, "daughter," age 5.

William died5696 at the age of 82, a resident of Smyrna, Tennessee. Though his obituary mentions that he was the son of the late Charles and Mable Whalen Crain, other records indicating he was the son of William E Kriner are preferred.
His obituary mentions survivors: his wife, Elizabeth M Kriner; sons Ed Kriner of Smyrna, Robert Charles Kriner of Horseheads, NY; daughter Faith Virginia Kriner of St Petersburg, Fla.; sister Dorothy Johnson of Elmira, NY; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth, resident of Smyrna, Tennessee, died5697 at the age of 88. She was survived by son, William (Constance) E Kriner, Jr, of Smyrna, and Robert Charles Kriner of Conway, SC; daughter Faith Virginia Kriner of Land of Lakes, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy Crain Johnson of Elimira, NY; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also mentioned were brothers Patrick Van Gorder and William Sherman, who both predeceased her.
