Samuel may have been the Samuel Veazie, age 18, "apprentice blacksmith," listed in the household of Seth Devereux in 1860. In 1870, he is a seaman.

Maria S is a widow in 1880. She may be the "Mrs S P Veazie," of Bangor, ME, of whom several newspaper articles (newspaperarchive.com) in May, 1882, report was fatally ill due to poisoning by a careless druggist. Her death record2204 indicates her burial place only as "cemetery."
