Little, Geneal. & Fam. Hist. Maine, incorrectly lists Wildes Perkins Walker Veazie, born April 3, 1870, as the son of John Walker Veazie, son of Gen. Samuel Veazie. The 1870 census lists "Willie" Veazie, born Apr 1870, in the household of Jones P. and Susan Veazie. The 1880 census for Bangor lists "Wildes P W Veazie," age 10, as "son" of Susan T. Veazie, widow. The Bangor (Maine) Whig and Courier (newspapers.com), Mar 6 1893, mentions a new company formed in Bangor, for the cure of opium, tobacco and liquor habits by the "Houston" system. Among the new officers listed was W. P. W. Veazie, secretary and business manager. In Apr, 1893, an advertisement for the cure of liquor, tobacco, opium and morphine habits, at an establishment at 200 Essex Street, Bangor, mentions that particulars should be inquired of W. P. W. Veazie, Secretary of the company (unnamed).

Also, in 1893 (www.cfbdatawarehouse.com - not currently available), Wildes P Veazie was the head coach of the University of Maine football team (The Maine Black Bears) and compiled a 0-5 record. That year the Black Bears scored a total of 24 points; the opponents a total of 122 points. The History of Harvard Law School3124 provides information for Wildes: father dealer in lumber; offices, 30 Pine St, NYC; special partner in form of A. H. Bickmore & Co., bankers.

Mary's middle name is provided by Hillman800, referencing "Maine Marriages, 1892-1966." Mary's obituary2984 mentions her children Mrs Edward O Hausburg [Doreen] of Elsmere, Mrs Phil Allen of Menlo Park, CA, and Wildes Walker Veazie of White Plains, NY. Her death place is assumed to be Delmar, NY, as the obit mentions the funeral service to be held at the Tebbutt Chapel in Delmar. His birthdate is listed1711 in the Maine birth index, which lists her father as Roscoe F Morgan and mother as Angelia. Census records indicate Mary's birthyear from 1851 to 1854, and the 1900 census has her birthdate Jan 1873.

In 1880, Mary, age 6, resided with her parents in Surry. In 1900, Mary M Veazie, wife of Wildes Veazie, resided in Brooklyn with son Walker and daughter Dorren Veazie.
