Solomon Bideler, whose surname appears variously as Bideler, Bideller, Biedler and Bidler, resided most of his adult life in Campbell and Caton, New York, working as a farmer.

In 1850, Solomon resided⁹⁸⁷ in Campbell, NY, in the household of his brother George, along with his wife "Cozia," his sister Mary, and Solomon and Keziah's daughter, Charlotte. In 1855, Solomon, a farmer, resided¹⁰⁴ in Caton, NY, with his wife Kezia and daughter Charlotte. From that time, until his death, it appears he lived in Caton.

The 1885 probate⁷⁶ of the will of George W Bideler identifies "Solomon Biedler of Caton" as George's brother, as does an 1885 obituary²⁵¹¹ for George Bideler.

A death listing²⁹ in the Steuben Co. Historian's Office, Bath, NY, for Solomon Bidler lists Solomon's parents as George Bidler and Amy Brown.

Keziah's maiden name is listed²⁴⁶⁹ on daughter Mary's death certificate.
