Marilyn and Shaug were married1212 on the 33rd anniversary of the marriage of her parents, Earl and Hazel Stevens McGowan. Shaug and Marilyn drove to Boston, Massachusetts, after the reception. Her sisters Doris (Mrs. F. Munro Veazie) and Ginny (Mrs. John H. Shaver) were hostesses at the pre-nuptial parties.

The (Corning, NY) Evening Leader, Jan 7, 1947 (www.fultonhistory.com), in Painted Post news, reported that Horace Shauger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Shauger of 400 West High street, Painted Post, returned to Bowling Green (Ohio) University after spending the holidays with his parents.

Shaug served our country with his career as a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. He was a veteran1211 of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
