U S Cemetery and Funeral Home records (ancestry.com) lists an obituary for Calvin Grey Harris, son of George Freeman Harris and Louise Hyde Harris. That article lists his birthdate and place, his deathdate, and his parents' names, including his mother's maiden name.
Earle Dow lists Louise as married to Richard Knowlton, which is confirmed by the Maine Marriage Index. The Maine Marriage Index (maine.gov) also lists a marriage of Louise R Veazie of Rockland, ME, to Calvin G Harris of Charleston, WV, 1948 Sep 11. The Portland (ME) Press Herald, Feb 21, 1948, carried an announcement of the engagement of Louise Roberts Veazie, dau of Edward R Veazie, to Calvin Gray Harris of Freeman, VA, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Freeman Harris. The wedding was planned for the Fall. Their wedding announcement appeared Sept 12, 1948, in the same newspaper. Louise and Calvin were apparently divorced within the next few years as Calvin married4016 second ~1955, Jean Church. Louise married second Richard Knowlton. Richard died4017 in 2003. The 2010-2011 annual report of philanthropy for the University of New England (www.une.edu) mentions Louise Veazie Knowlton, Westbrook Junion College, '46, in the list of contributors. An article (knox.villagesoup.com) dated Aug 11, 2011, mentions a reunion of classmates of Rockland High School, among whom attended Louise Veazie Knowlton.
