Johnson was born in Frankfort, ME, and lived with his mother in 1860 (with father Timothy Lane), and 1870 and 1880, with his mother's second husband Richard Atwood. In 1880, he was enumerated as Johnson Atwood. In 1900, listed as an electrician, he resided with his wife Minnie, and his mother Flavilla Lane. In 1910, a merchant of electrical supplies, he still resided in Brewer with Minnie. In 1916, Johnson Nathaniel Veazie Lane died of bronchial pneumonia, an electrician and gas fitter at the time of his death.
The marriage record for Minnie to Johnson Lane lists her father as Roscoe Howard. In 1900, Minnie is listed as the mother of none, none living, born Nov 1860. From that information one finds, in 1880, Roscoe Howard, wife Amanda, and daughters Minnie, age 19, and Mary, age 17. Maine Marriages2317 provides the maiden name for Minnie's mother Amanda. Roscoe R Howard and Amanda M Smith were married Feb 14, 1857, in Dexter, ME. Minnie lived in Brewer, ME, at 101 Union St from 1910 through 1930. In 1940, she boarded with Amos and Cora B Hadley in Brewer.
