Daughter Polly "Coapland" is mentioned⁴⁹⁴⁶ in her father's 1817 will.

Bass⁸³¹ states Polly and Orin moved to Randolph, VT, and later moved to Ohio.

In 1842, Polly Copeland, "widow of Orren Copeland, late of Elkhart county, deceased," posted a legal notice⁴⁹⁴⁸ in Goshen, Indiana, the notice dated Oct 19, 1842, stating she would make application to the Elkhart Probate court, Nov 14, 1842, to set over to her, her "just third part of" Orren Copeland's estate, legally or equitably belonging to her deceased husband.
