William's occupation is listed as shoemaker in Edmund's and William Eli's birth record855 (MVR 36:107, 52:241).
William died of "liver complaint" and was married and a shoemaker at the time of his death.
Mary Dunham's middle initial is listed in the marriage record. Her birthplace is listed as Middleborough in Edmund's and William Eli's birth record. In 1850, George Dunham, age 40, perhaps Mary's brother, is living in the William Veazie household. If so, that is a clue to Mary's parents. George is likely the George Dunham, born 15 Jun 1810 to Calvin and Hannah Dunham (Mass. Births & Christenings, 1639-1915, familysearch.org), in Carver, Massachusetts, a town adjacent to Middleborough, Mary's birthplace. Further, an 1869 death record (Mass. Deaths, 1841-1915, familysearch.org) for George Dunham, lists his birth as 1811 in Middleborough, MA, to Calvin and Hannah Dunham.
Although Mary doesn't seem to specifically appear in records after the 1860 census, the 1879 marriage record for son William Eli Veazie to Lillian Webb Hunt lists William's parents as "Wm E (deceased) & Mary Dunham," perhaps implying that Mary was alive at that time.
