At the time of Minot's marriage855 to Rachel, he was age 29 and his occupation was "gunner." He was the son of Minott and Prudence Hunt. They were married by Rev. Dr. Stores.
In 1860, Minot and Rachel are living in dwelling of Chas H Dow, boot manufacturer. Rachel's sister Anna is living with them. Minot's occupation is boot manufacter, also. In 1870, the Dow's are living in Minott's residence. He worked in a boot factory.
The death record for Rachel Rebecca Hunt (src 855 1904/25:136) - died at age 73y 9m 28d of heart failure. That record lists her mother's full maiden name, that she was divorced, and her burial information. The informant for her death was Mrs. N. Eugene Hollis of Braintree.
As an interesting note, births are recorded for 2 daughters of Samuel and Rebecca M Veazie, both named Rachel Rebecca, one Jul 16, 1830 and one Jun --- 1832.
Rachel Hunt's age at death results in a calculated birthdate of Jul 16, 1830. However, it's unlikely that Samuel and his wife would name a second daughter with the same name if the first daughter were still alive. So, it is assumed that Rachel born 1830 died young and Rachel Hunt's age at death was erroneously based on her older sister's birthdate.
In 1880, Rachel's marital status was divorced. In 1900, she is living alone with a servant, marital status widowed, 2 houses away from her sister, Annie S Hollis.
