Samuel married 1) at Weymouth, Mary Bailey Richards, d of Josiah and Hannah (Hunt) Richards. They had 2 children: Charlotte Augusta, Samuel Erastus (src 888 v3:125). She died Sept 27, 1835. age 29 (src 886 Weymouth V2:250).

Samuel married second (src 888 v3:125) at Weymouth, 12 Jul 1837, Deborah Veazie. Samuel and Deborah had a son, Lemuel Veazie Bourne.

Samuel's birth year is estimated from his age at death (39y) (Weymouth V2:250). His death record (src 855 15:80) reports that he was married at the time of death, died of consumption, and lists his parents, his occupation (cordwainer) and birthplace.

In 1850, son Lemuel and step-son Samuel E (Erastus) Bourne are residing with Deborah.

Child 1. LemuelLemuel V headstone: "Co. H. 2d Mass Heavy Ar'y." (src 886 Weymouth V1:58). Lemuel died single of typhoid fever at the age of 21y 1m (src 885 184:259)..

Child 2. Samuel/tab Samuel Veazie Bourne birth is from src 886, Weymouth V1:58 - "BOURNE ... Samuel Veazie, ch. Samuel and Deborah, bp. Feb 18, 1844.". He doesn't appear with Deborah and Lemuel in the 1850 census.
