Family of Thomas (Jr) Marsten JORDAN and Maria Hannah RUSSELL

Thomas (Jr) Marsten JORDAN b. 1830 Nov 16722 at Frederickton, NB722.
Maria Hannah RUSSELL b. 1846~752 at Nova Scotia752.

Married722 1871 Aug 10722. Aug. 10, 1871
The 1850 censu lists "Thos M Jordan Jr" in the household of Thos M Jordan. Like his father, he was, at that time, a carpenter. By 1860, Thomas, a farmer, had married Rebecca Lee, and was living in Lee, Maine, where they were married.

He apparently remained behind in Maine for a few years, perhaps until Rebecca's death, when his father and his brother Charles moved to Minnesota between 1850 and 1857.

He may have purchased land adjacent to his father near Greenleaf, MN, in 1869. In any case, in 1870, Thomas, farmer, is living with his parents in Minnesota. There is a child Mary in the household, likely hias daughter Edna M.

Thomas and Maria/Hannah, following their marriage in 1871, remained in Minnesota through 1885.
Maria may be the Maria Russell, age 26, living in 1870, Excelsior, MN, in the household (family 35) of Esther Milliner, age 28 or 38, and Jane Giffin, age 35 or 38. All three ladies were born in Nova Scotia, both parents of foreign birth. In 1875, Maria is listed in the census as Hannah M. A child "Minnie R" Jordan is living in the household. Jordan Memorial has Thomas's second marriage to Maria Russell. Apparently she had a previous marriage to (unkn) Russel as, in 1880, a step-daughter named Minnie Russell is living in the household.

Child 1. AliceJordan has daughter "Ella," In 1880, daughter born ~1873 is Alice E.
