It appears that Clarence may have attended Keuka College as the Steuben Courier (Bath, NY), Sep 4, 1908 (fultonhistory.com) reported "Bradford, Sept 1 - Clarence Barkley returned to Keuda College last Monday."

Clarence worked a farm and worked at the Corning Glass Works. The marriage date for Clarence and Hazel is estimated from Wesley's birth year. Hazel's maiden name is given in Arthur C Barkley's obituary. Clarence and Hazel were witnesses64 for the wedding of Ansel and June Van Keuren Barkley.

The 1953 wedding announcement1440 for son James to Caroline Ober mentions James' parents Mr and Mrs Clarence Barkley of Eagle Valley.

Clarence retired4359 from the Corning Glass Works in 1955. His obituary states he was born July 5, 1898, but that's likely a typo as other documents, including his WWI draft registration card, indicate 1889 is the correct year. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Savona Federated Church.

"Mrs. Clarence Barkley" is mentioned as the president of The Mothers' Class of Savona Methodist Church in a Apr 12, 1935 article in the (Corning, NY) Evening Leader (fultonhistory.com).
