In 1850¹²³¹, a Henry Barclay, age 50, is listed in what is assumed by dwelling and family numbers in that census to be in the proximity of the households of Joseph, Gaston, Robert and James Barclay. It is assumed that Henry is the son of Joseph and Susannah Barclay. He may be the Henry Barkley, age 60, master carpenter, in 1860 living in the household of Gaston Barkley (who would have been a distant cousin) and family. Henry's birthdate is calculated⁸⁴⁰ from his age at death: 68y 10m 14d.

Catharine's birthdate is calculated⁸⁴⁰ from her age at death: 43y 2m 14d. The tombstone deathdate matches the report³⁰⁵⁶ of the death of "Catherine, w. of Henry Barkley, dau. of N LIBOLT, [age] 43." That newspaper³⁰⁵⁶ also reported the death, on the same day as Catherine (Libolt) Barkley, of Nicholas Libolt, who died in Bullville, Orange Co., age 76y.
