Family of John H VEAZIE and Louisa T FOLSOM
Married405 1840 Apr 28405. VR of Augusta, Maine
John's death on 17 Feb 1848 was reported385 "near Limington." William T Folsom "of Augusta," Louisa's brother, was the administrator326 for John H's estate, "Limington." On August 1, 1850, it appears that Folsom recorded a judgement related to the administration of the estate against "S. Veazie" for nearly $550. In a rare occurrence, Louisa and children appear in two census records in 1850. On 14 Aug, Louisa, Nancy, Sewell and Edward are enumerated in Augusta, probably their home. On 26 Aug, Louisa T, Nancy A, Sewell L and John E are listed in the household of Louisa's brother Robert H Folsom, along with their parents Jeremiah and Nancy, in Vienna, ME, perhaps visiting.
Child 3. SewallSewell enlisted in the GAR, Bangor, ME, 2 Aug 1862, a member of Company K, Second Maine Regiment. He received a disability discharge 8 Feb 1863. As he died less than a month later, it is likley that he died of wounds received in the war.
Child 4. JohnIn 1860, after the death of both parents, John E is living with his grandparents, Jeremiah and Nancy Folsom, in Vienna.
