Elijah Veazie's obituary mentions daughter Gladys Inez Sojourner.

Annie Veazie Bower²⁷⁸⁶ stated Sylvester and Inez had no children.

Sylvester was a farmer and railroad worker. He moved²³⁶⁹ from Dallas, TX, to Neosho, MO, in 1953 and lived there the rest of his life. He was a Mason and a veteran of World War I.

There is a plaque for Gladys V Sojourner beside the plaque for husband Sylvester in Memorial Park Cem., Neosho, MO. However, that lists only her birthdate with no deathdate indicated. It's not clear that Gladys is, in fact, buried there. That plaque has her birthdate as Oct 21, 1897, as does the SSDI entry. The 1900 census lists her birthdate as August, 1897. Gladys was a nurse. After Sylvester's death, Gladys moved back to Iowa and resided in Emmetsburg. In 1972, Gladys, her sister Annie and Annie's husband David, all of Emmetsburg, attended the wedding of Annie and Dave's granddaughter Carol, in Denver.
