Married³²⁷² 1834 Apr 13³²⁷² at Dighton, MA³²⁷². Dighton Births, Marriages and Death³²⁷², p 309, reads: Returns of Marriages. Dighton April 13 1834. I hereby certify that I have on this day duly solemnised the marriage ceremony between Abiathar Strange and Temperance M Pierce both of this town. Joseph Blackman Minister of the gospel.

The marriage record⁴⁰⁰⁹ for Julian and Maria lists her parents' names, but not her mother's maiden name.

Following first wife Temperence's death in early 1860, Abiathar married second Rebecca C Borden, nee Reed, Oct 6, 1860, in Taunton.
