Edward and Hester were married by Rev Lawrence A Wheaton of Hoosick Falls, NY.

In 1910, Edward was a boxmaker at a lumber mill. In 1920, he was a cutter for a lumber company. In 1926, he married Miss Hester Turrell, daughter of Mrs Martha Turrell. In 1930, Edward was a general construction carpenter. In 1940, he worked as a stock cutter for a lumber company. In May, 1945, he was arrested²³⁹⁸ for drunkenness on the complaint of his wife. While being held at the North Adams police station, he hanged himself with his own belt. For many years, he had been a stock cutter for the S S Dibble Lumber Company, and had been a call man with the local fire department.

At the time of grandson Glen Allan Veazie's brith²³⁹⁹, Mrs Hester Veazie resided at Ashland St, North Adams, MA.

The obituary²⁴⁰⁵ of Hester's sister Mary Jane (Turrell) Chase mentions Hester, Hester's parents, nieces Martha Yanofsky and Dorothy Salvatore, and nephews Samuel and Edward Veazie.
