The death record for Lucy (Veazie) O'Leary lists her parents names, Jason Veazie and Jane Barns. Jason, son of Abiezer, is assumed to be the Jason Veazie mentioned. Maine Marriages2317 has Jane Veasey married to Harbert Hewitt, 14 Aug 1836. Further searching yields the genealogy2483 of William Hewett. Information in that reference for Herbert Thorndike Hewett mentions his marriage to Jane Barnes, and Jane's first marriage and marriage date to Jason Veazie, and daughter Lucy Jane Veazie.

Daughter Lucy's death record1774 lists her mother's birthplace. That record also lists her mother's name as "Barns." Most other references have "Barnes." Following Jason Veazie's death, Jane married second2317, 14 Aug 1836 in Camden, ME, Herbert (or Harbert) Hewett, born2483 4 Mar 1816, son of Samuel and Rebecca (Harrington) Hewett. In 1850, Jane is listed with Herbert Hewett (farmer), Lucy J Veazie, and 9 Hewett children. In 1860, Jane and Herbert are listed in Rockland. Herbert was enumerated as "Hubbard" and his occupation is "lime burner." In 1870, Jane and "Hubbard" Hewett are still in Rockland. He is listed in the same house as his brother Samuel Hewett, with Jane and several children.
