Son Samuel M Veazie's death record lists the birthplace of both parents as Islesboro, ME. Abiezer and Grace's burial plot is opposite the George Prescott lot beside a water tap and in the area nearest Negunticook Lake. A memorial headstone in Mount View Cem., Camden, ME reads "To the memory of CAPT. ABIZER VEAZIE Who Died Mar. 11, 1839, AE. 51 yrs. 8 mos. & 21 days." If that information is assumed correct, his calculated birthdate was 18 Jun 1787. Farrow³⁹⁸ has age at death as 51y 9m 21d but only says of his death date "about 1840." A transcribed death record⁸⁰², stating a source of cemetery information from Mountain[sic] Cem., Camden, has age at death of 51y 8m 24d. Hillman⁸⁰⁰ has age at death of 51y 9m 21d from an unsourced document, states a death date of 11 March 1839 is given in Abiezer's probate records, says no official source can be found for Abiezer's birthdate and lists a birthdate of 14 Jun 1788. Hillman lists that birthdate as a 1787 date is too close to the birthdate of John (Abiezer's next older sibling). John's birthdate is late August or early September 1786, less than10 months from the calculated birthdate for Abiezer herein.

Interestingly, Grace Veazie, age 62, is living in the household of Nathaniel Hosman in Camden, 1850. Also in the household is Georgina Hosman, who will marry Grace's son Silas several years later. Dow⁴⁶⁹ has Grace's death date 1851 Dec 24. Farrow (History of Islesborough) has administrator of her estate appointed May 4, 1841. Other evidence, such as the fact she's alive in 1850, indicates this is likley an error. Her headstone in Mt View Cem., Camden, reads "GRACE Wife of Abiezer Veazie Died Dec 29, 1851 AE 62 yrs, 3mos." That would provide a calculated birthdate of Sep 1789. Both Farrow⁵⁴⁴ (no source provided) and Hillman⁸⁰⁰ (referencing an "Abiezer Veazie Bible") have a birthyear of 1790. As she gives her age in the 1850 census⁴³⁰ as 62, her birthyear given herein is 1789.

Child 6. Clarissa

Hillman⁸⁰⁰ has, without reference, Clarissa marrying ~1842, Charles Babbidge, b ~1818. It appears that is an error as the death record²²⁰⁴ for Clarissa Babbidge, widow of Charles, lists her father as --- Spencer. Her birthdate calculated from her age at death matches the birth record for Clarissa Spencer, dau of Asa and Mary W Spencer, born in Bradley, ME. Additionally, the death index⁵²⁷ for Mina Tracey, listed by Hillman as daughter of Clarissa, lists her father as Babbidge and her mother as Spencer.
