Frederick's middle name is listed on the marriage record for Frederick Marden to Hilda Nilsson Rooks. Frederick was a clerk, manager and hotel owner for a large portion of his life. His biographical sketch2750 describes well his whereabouts during the late 1800s. Fred died of pneumonia at his home in Syracuse. At the time of his death2752, Fred was secretary and treasurer of the Onondaga Hotel Co. He had come from Boston 4 years previous and became active in the operation of the company. He was survived2753 by his widow, Mabel H Marden, and a brother [illegible] E. Marden in Boston. That is likely his brother Edward.
The marriage record2191 for Mabel and Frederick lists the bride's name as Hilda Nilsson Rooks. Her parents are listed as Peter W Nilsson and Adelade Westbury. It's not clear whether Mabel was married previously. Most other records have her name as Mabel (or Mable) H Marden. In 1900, Mabel Nelson, b Dec 1877, is listed as the daughter of Peter A and Anna Nelson. Following Fred Marden's death, Mabel married Feb 13, 1922, in Syracuse, NY, Frederick S Kiebert of Detroit. They were married at the home of Rev Dr F W Betts; Mr and Mrs F E Vail were witnesses.
