William's obituary lists the date of his marriage and lists the place as Lynden, Canada, which is today a suburb of Brantford, Ontario. The obituary of Ellen Vesey has the marriage place as Bratford(sic).

William was born in Ohio and moved with his family to St Joseph Co., Indiana, at the age of 10. He was a farmer and died at his home at the age of 48y 11m and 19d. His father was still alive at the time of his death, as was his brother Lucius, of Benton Harbor, Mich; and sisters Mrs George Entzler, Mrs Robert Crooks, and Mrs Fred Eberhart. His wife and three children also survived him.
