The 1940 census³²³⁸ for Fenton, NY, lists R P Walker, age 44, b Mass, and wife Lona Walker. Residing in the household is Lee Brille, brother-in-law, Elaine Walker, age 15, and Doris Walker, age 12. The wedding announcement³²³⁹ for Doris Page Walker lists her father as Roland P Walker.

Roland's middle name is listed²²¹ on his WWI draft registration card, and in the 1917 CT military census³²³⁷.. On the 1917 WWI draft reg. card, he is listed as a saleman for Snyders Incorporated. In the military census, he is listed as a shipping room helper. In 1920, he was a clerk at a jewelry store, likely his father's store. Roland Walker, of Princeton, NJ, is mentioned³²³¹ as a surviving son in his mother's 1958 obituary.

Though initially identified as the wife of R P Walker in the 1940 census, one then finds Leona Walker, daughter of Clarence and Nellie Walker, and Leona's daughters, Elaine and Doris, residing with her parents in Winchester, VA, in 1930.
