Married4504 1813 Mar 124507 at Schoharie Co., NY4507. An affidavit4504 by John V Efner mentions his mother Mary Veazie, daughter of John Veazie of Braintree, his mother's first husband --- Debble; and his mother's second husband, Harvey Efner. A War of 1812 servcie record4507 for Harvey Efner provides the marriage date and location.
Harvey served4507 in the War of 1812 as a private in Capt. Philip Bartholomew's Co, New York Militia. He enlisted Aug 24, 1812, and was discharged on Decemeber 24 (year not indicated). The Remarks section of that service card states: "Soldier alleges that after about 3 months he was taken sick and furnished a substitute who served the remainder of his term which he paid himself name of principal not shown. That card also provides the date and location of his marriage to Mary "Veagie," his death date and location, and several residences with the year indicated.
Harvey was a shoemaker by trade.
Hillman800 has "Polly" married Ephraim Effner. An affidavit4504 by John V Efner mentions his mother Mary Veazie, daughter of John Veazie of Braintree, his mother's first husband --- Debble(?); and his mother's second husband, Harvey Efner. He lists his mother's children by her second husband as: John V, Harriet, Harvey, Martha A, Marie E, Charles, Joseph, Henry and Hiram.
An affidavit4508 by Polly Veazie, the wife of Benjamin Veazie, Mary's brother, specifically mentions "Mary (or Polly)" as Benjamin's sibling.

John Efner's 1866 affidavit4504 mentions his sister Harriet residing in Fultonham, Schoharie, New York. In 1860, Harriet Getter, assumed spouse of David Getter (head of household), appears in the census6002 for Futon, Schoharie Co., NY. Besides their children, "Harry" (perhaps "Harvy") Efner, age 67, resided with them. From the presence of the latter, and her location in "Fultonham" in 1866, Harriet Getter is assumed to be Harriet Efner.
