The 1939 obituary5074 for Hollis Houghton mentions a surviving daughter, Clarine, of Ogden (UT). It appears that, following Hollis' death, Clarine may have been adopted or raised by Mildred's sister Marguerite Purcell, and Marguerite's husband, Vaughn Purcell. In 1940, Clarine Purcell, listed as "daughter," age 9, resided5080 in the household of Vaughn M and Marjorie Purcell. Two sons of Vaughn and Marjorie - Albert E and Melvin W - are also listed.
The obituary5079 for Vaughn Merle Purcell mentions his marriage to Marguerite Fort, Mar 2, 1919, and survivors: his widow, two sons and one daughter: Albert E Purcell, Melvin W Purcell, and Mrs Paul (Clarine) Stephens of Fort Worth, TX.
