McGowan Bible⁵⁵³² has only "Samuel." McGowan⁵⁶¹⁶ has death date 19-4-1927, with "19" circled (doubt?).

McGowan⁵⁶¹⁶ has spouse of Samuel Jones McGowan as "Mary (Margeson) Beckwith."

Her name is confirmed by her obituaries^{5868 5887}, wherein she is identified as the widow of Samuel McGowan, the mother of Bert Beckwith, and the sister of Frank Margeson.

Mary's parents are identified in various census records and obituaries. In the obituary⁵⁸⁶⁹ of her mother, Cynthia (nee Smith) Margeson, widow of Israel Margeson. Mrs Mary McGowan and Frank Margeson are mentioned as surviving children. In a double obituary⁵⁸⁸⁷ for Mary Margeson McGowan and Belden Margeson, Mary and Belden are identified as children of Israel and Cynthia (Smith) Margeson, leaving Frank Margeson as the only surviving member of four children.
