Huldah VEAZIE b. 1805~840 at Adams, MA800. d. 1883 Aug 271840 at home of son-in-law George Kinney, Embargo St, Rome, NY1840.

Married1840 abt 1832 at prob New York. The marriage date for Huldah and Job is estimated from the date and place of birth of their eldest child.

Job (AKA Jobe) Barnard was a relatively successful farmer1882 1883 in Oneida Co., New York. Job's headstone reads "Died Feb 11, 1870 Aged 66 yrs 2mos" from which his birthdate is estimated.

Shortly after his death, Huldah Barnard and G W G Kinney, Administrators, published5427 a notice for the sale of 131 acres of land, near Fish Creek. For particulars, interested parties were to apply at the "residence of the late Job Barnard, Lee, or at the office of Lewis, Soarles(?) & Kinney, Rome."

In an 1865 affidavit4515, deposed by Mary J Hayden, Mary identifies her father as Thomas Veazie, and, among her siblings, mentions a sister Huldah who "married Job Barnard and they are now living in Lee Oneida county of [New York]."

Huldah's obituary1840 states she died 1883 at the age of 78 years. In 1870, she is listed1881 in Aug as 65 years old, or born ~1805.

The obituary1840 for Mrs Job Barnard mentions surviving daughters Mrs G W G Kinney, Mrs F M Orton, Miss Nellie Barnard of Rome, Mrs Mary Thorne and Mrs Hattie Lewis of Colorado. Also mentioned were three brothers and a sister - Thomas Veazie of Dresden, NY, John Veazie of Blossburg, Pa., Charles Veazie of Brockport, NY, and Mrs Cyrus Hayden of Havana, NY. "The late Henry Veazie, of Rome, was also her brother."

Mary's mother's obituary1840 mentions a surviving daughter Mrs. Mary Thorne. Hillman800 references Mary's obituary in the Roman (NY) Citizen, 28 Oct 1885, for her death date and location. Hillman states that obit mentions she left two sons.
