George and Gertrude were married by R M Houghton, clergyman of Brattleboro, VT. At this time, George was widowed and this was his second marriage. The intention was filed the same date.

George's birth record¹⁷⁹⁹ lists him as Benjamin G. Most other records have George, George B, or George Benjamin as his name. The marriage record for George and Gertrude lists his full name. In 1880, following his mother's death the previous year, George B Veazie, servant, was living in the household of George L and Emma E Howard in Randolph, Vermont. In 1900 and 1910, George is listed with wife Isabelle. In 1920, following Isabelle's death, George and Gertrude were living next door to the family of Gertrude's father and mother. By 1930, George and Gertrude had divorced and were living just a few doors apart in that year.He was listed as a carpenter.

The marriage record²⁴⁸⁴ for Gertrude and George Veazie lists her birthplace as "Loyinton, ND." Other records, including her death certificate, have South Dakota as her birth state. It appears that Loyalton, South Dakota, was intended. In 1930, following her divorce from George, Gertrude and son Sherman were living apart from George. That year, William Lane, laborer odd jobs, born ~1871, was boarding in her household. On Dec 2, 1935, Keene, NH, Gertrude married²⁴⁸⁴ William F Lane, son of John Lane and Delia Reed. In 1940, Gertrude and William Lane were living in Walpose, NH. Soimetime before her death, she married (unkn) Albee, as her death certificate²⁴¹² lists her name as Gertude S Albee. Her parents, John and Cora Brown Sheldon are listed therein, and Harold Albee, stepson, was the informant for the record.
