Hist of Braintree, VT (Bass)⁸³¹: Elisha is listed as the sixth child of William Ford (b unkn, no spouse indicated.) Elisha married Betsey Vesey and "went West and died there." Elisha's death date is assumed as "before 1860" as he appears in Perry, OH, with Elizabeth in 1850 but Elizabeth is listed in Warren Ford's household in Perry in 1860. Elisha doesn't appear to be listed in the 1860 census. Unsourced information⁹⁰⁰ has Elisha's parents as William Ford and Sarah Hayden, and Elisha died Dec 4, 1869 in Painseville, OH. Other unsourced information (appears to be from the same person) has Elisha died Dec 3, 1857.

Although Hist of Braintree, VT (Bass), under the Vesey family, does not list Elizabeth marrying Elisha Ford, that source does have Elisha Ford, son of William Ford, marrying "Betsey" Vesey. "Pioneer Women of Perry"⁸²⁸ has "The eldest sister [of the daughters of Benjamin and Eunice Vesey], Mrs Betsey Ford, came west with her husband two years later [referring to Benjamin and Eunice Vesey coming to Perry 1816]."

The 1850 Fed Census for Perry lists Elisha and Elizabeth Ford, both born in Vermont. The 1860 Fed Census for Perry, OH, lists Elizabeth Ford, age 69, born Vermont, in the household of Warren (age 50, born Vermont, likely her son) and Sarah Ford. Hillman⁸⁰⁰ provides her death date, referencing a death record received from Kay Reitberger via rootsweb.ancestry.com.

Orison's headstone⁸⁴⁰ reads: “In Memory of ORISON FORD / Who Departed this Life / January 3 1833 / Aged 20 years 6 Months & 7 days / Beneath this sod in death I sleep / killd by a limb droppd from a tree / Retire my friends, in vain you weep / Prepare for death and follow me.” His birthdate is calculated from that information. Hillman⁸⁰⁰ has birth date Jun 27, 1819, referencing Benjamin's tombstone inscription, including a death year of 1833 and age at death of 20.
